Dichroic Mirror

Last two decades some architects have used tools, which are based on nature principles. Thanks to globalization and multidisciplinary, contemporary architecture uses principles based on computing design, engineering, sociology or nature systems. Implementation of these principles brings new possibilities to architecture and design and new ways how to develop it. Design for performance and interaction is specificely designed to bring people from different disciplines together within one project. They could be with different backround, they can be engineers, architects, designers or programators. This project is pilot phase of an interactive interior wall. Interaction trough servo motors using intelligence to interact with humans, implementing biomimetic principles. Pilot project in collaboration between Faculty of architecture and Faculty 5: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology of University of Stuttgart.

Student design project by Kristína Balušíková, University of Stuttgart.
