Renewable Pavilion Element

Renewable Pavilion Element

The task was to redesign the research pavillon of the BIOMAT team at ITKE institute, in order to be able to use the structure of this pavillon for the purpose of renewable energy production. Energy production is of course one of the main discussions nowadays as our planet is running out of fossil energy sources such as oil and gas. On the other hand renewable energy sources will help us to save our environment by reducing the the CO2 emission. Nevertheless a life without electricity and power is not imaginable for us and that is why renewable energy sources seem to be the most harmless way to fulfill our needs.
The aim of this project was to do research on different sources of renewable energy, analysing their needs for a reliable performance during the year, analysing the behaviour of different energy production moduls at the location of the research pavillon, considering the design of the chosen moduls to harmonize with the whole pavillon design and at the end, building a working prototype which fulfills the expected performances. The energy production moduls could be used for LEDs or for purposes like charging mobile devices or running bluetooth devices e.g. for bluetooth speakers etc.
